Two times Olympic Gold medalist,Francois Mbango Etone has made a quick stop in the Olympic Lions Den on Thursday to motivate the boys of Rigobert Song as the team prepares for their double header U23 AFCON 2019 clash with Chad on November 16 in Yaounde.
The « Lion Woman » who won gold medal for Cameroon 10 years ago in Beijing before switching Nationality to become a French citizen in 2010 has been more involved in such missions recently.
Born in Yaounde 42 years ago,Mbango became the first Cameroonian single athlete to win an Olympic or World Gold medal and she won global attention after her successes for Cameroon in 2004 and 2008.
Mbango encouraged the young lad who were starting their journey in football and had a meal and family photo with the team before leaving.
The team have two training sessions this Friday at the Annex stadium in Yaounde.
